Sopore : Forces on Tuesday evening launched a cordon and search operation in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said forces installed lights in Gul Abad area of Arampora Sopore where searches are being conducted.
A police official told Kashmir Despatch that the searches were started after “specific” inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
“Lights have been installed to ensure that the militants hiding in the area don’t escape,” he said.
Earlier army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF laid siege to Arampora area and sealed all entry and exit points.
