Srinagar, April 11 : A nocturnal gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Nadimarg area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a joint team of Army’s 9 RR , SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the Nandimarg village of Kulgam following inputs about the presence of militants movement in the area.
Reports said as forces were carrying searches, the hidding militants opened fire triggering a gunfight which is underway.
Firing from both sides was on when last reports came in.
