Pulwama, May 06 : A nocturnal gunfight broke out between militants and Government forces in Shaar area of Khrew in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday night.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a joint team Army’s 50 RR, SOG and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Shaar area following inputs about the presence of some militants in the area.
A senior Police officer told Kashmir Despatch that contact has been established with hiding militants and operation is underway.
As per the sources two militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
