COVID-19 Lockdown : Dozen Shops sealed in Baramulla

Baramulla, May 17 : Authorities in north Kashmir’s Baramulla town on Sunday sealed one dozen shops after they were found functioning voilating the prohibitory orders.

According to Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, a team of revenue along with Police inspected various parts of the town and found some shops functioning normally and violating the prohibitory orders.Further, they were also found not ensuring personal distancing at their respective shops. The shops were closed and sealed he added.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that despite repeated warnings, they defying orders. He said today a revenue team swung into action on the instructions of DC Baramulla against violators found in the town.
He said Strict action was also taken against private vehicles found moving around without permission.

It should be noted that complete restrictions on public movement and activities have been ordered in the district. Concerned authorities have been instructed for strict enforcement of restrictions and strict action against violators.
