Srinagar, May 21 : A policeman was killed while another injured after militants opened fire at a joint team of forces in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch sand the incident took place this afternoon when a joint team of forces was attacked by militants in the near Khar Kadal Prichoo Pulwama, leaving the two cops critically injured, however both were rushed to nearby hospital where one among them succumbed to his Injuries reports added.
The deceased has been identified head Constable Anoof Singh, while the injured one identified as Ibarahim Ahmad.
Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
This is second such attack on security forces since past 24 hours, Two BSF personnel were killed when bike-borne militants attacked a party of 37 batallion of the paramilitary forces near Pandach area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday afternoon.
