Bear Captured in Kupwara

Kupwara, June 01 : The Wildlife Department on Monday captured a bear in north Kashmir’s Kupwara village.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a team from wildlife department after Informed by locals about the presence of bear in Harwan, Maidan Chogal village reached the spot and launched an operation on Sunday night.

Reports said a bear was captured alive with the help of locals after being tranquilized from the village.

Meanwhile an official from wildlife department also confirmed to Kashmir Despatch about this development and said there were no injuries to anyone, neither to the animals nor to the humans. The rescue operation was carried smoothly and with the help of locals bear was captured from the area.
