Handwara man attempts suicide

SRINAGAR, June 25: A government teacher in Handwara consumed some poisonous substance in an attempt to commit suicide in a village in Handwara sub district.

Sources told Kashmir Despatch that the person (name withheld) by profession a government teacher consumed some poisonous substance at his home in Audoora village of Mawar-Langate in Handwara area. 

However, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, from where he was referred to district hospital Handwara for further treatment. 

A police officer told Kashmir Despatch that a team has been rushed to the area to investigate the matter.
