Srinagar; Amid surge in COVID-19 cases in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, authorities imposed restrictions under section 144 CrCP.
In an order copy that lies with Kashmir Despatch reads, Whereas, various precautionary measures and advisories with regard to restrictions on the movement of people/vehicles and enforcement of lock down measures were issued from time to time by this office in pursuance of the directions to Union Government and Govt. of UT of J&K to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections.
Whereas, fresh guidelines/instructions for effective containment/management of COVID 19 have been issued by J&K Government vide Government crater No: 66-1K (DMRRR) of 2020 dated: 03-07-2020.
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the fresh guidelines/instructions as mentioned above I, District Magistrate Baramulla in exercise of powers vested in me under section 144 of Cr.PC do hereby impose complete restrictions on the movement of individuals /vehicles from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM within the territorial jurisdiction of District Baramulla w.e.f 04-07-2020 2020 to 31-07-2020.
However, in case of medical emergency the Police/Security forces deployed at different Nakas for the purpose shall allow the concerned after due security /document check. Issued today on 04th of July, 2020 under my hand said Deputy Commissioner Baramulla in this statement.
