SRINAGAR, July 08 : Hours after the body of second drowned youth was retrieved from nallah Sind in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district another boy drowned in power canal in the area this evening.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a boy drowned in the power canal in Ganderbal this evening.
Police reached the spot and started rescue operation.
Locals sources told this newspaper that an 18-year-old identified as Sadaqat Ahmad Tandooli son of Gulzar Ahmad Tandooli of Kangan drowned.
Pertinently, on Sunday two boys drowned in nallah Sindh at Kichpora Kangan while bathing.
Locals present there raised an alarm, following which a team of police reached there and carried out rescue operation, however earleir on Monday morning one body of Zahid Farooq was retrieved, while after three days rescue operation another body Rashid Khan was retrieved by a joint team of SDRF, police at Wayil Bridge near crusher in Ganderbal on Wednesday afternoon.
