Srinagar, August 01: Three Srinagar residents among six more persons died of COVID-19 during the last 24 hours, taking the death toll in J&K to 388, officials said.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that Jammu and Kashmir recorded six deaths of Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours.
Officials said six people who have succumbed to the disease including a 68-year-old man from Babdem Khanyar, a 75-year-old man from LalBazar area of Srinagar, a 55-year-old woman from Iddgha area of Srinagar, A 55-year-old woman from Tral area of Pulwama, A 70-year-old woman from Gulistan Bala Baramulla and 60-year-old man from Baramulla.
The Kashmir valley, is witnessing an increase in the daily death toll. As many as 360 persons have died sofar due to this virus.
The overall toll in the union territory stands now at 388 including 360 from Kashmir division and 28 from Jammu division.
Moreover,654 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 96 from Jammu Division and 558 from Kashmir Division, while active cases in the UT stand at 7713 and 12871 have recovered sofar from this deadly virus.
