Sopore, August 04 : Ahead of Article 370 revocation anniversary forces on Tuesday afternoon launched a cordon and search operation in north Kashmir’s Sopore town.
Kashmir Despatch learnt from official sources that a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF sealed Bagh-e-Rahmat area of Sopore and conducted house to house searches in the area.
An official told this newspaper following inputs about the presence of suspecious movement search operation was launched.
Pertinently, authorities on Monday made announcement on the loudspeaker about the imposition of restrictions in the town after rise in COVID cases.
Following the guidelines and Instructions of admin, all the shops and other business establishments remained closed across the town while public transport was also off the roads.
