Bravehearts like Magray are an inspiration: Rafi Ahmad Mir
SRINAGAR, August 22: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) leader and former legislator Rafi Ahmad Mir on Saturday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of senior pharmacist Bashir Ahmad Magrey from Adhmuqam-Pahalgam who died of COVID-19.
In a condolence message, Mir prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul of this great Corona Warrior, who laid his life for the welfare of the humanity. Mir also prayed for strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
The JKAP leader conveyed his deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Bashir Magray, who will be deeply missed by one and all. “Such heroes of the society are a true inspiration for our youth. These frontline warriors in the battle agaisnt a deadly pandemic remain immortal even after leaving this word,” he observed.
Meanwhile, the JKAP leader urged the government to release ex-gratia relief in favour of the bereaved family of late Bashir Ahmad Magray.
Mir reiterated that the safety and security of the helathcare field staff should be the first and foremost duty of the government, adding that it should immediately announce a ‘risk cover’ amount for them.
