Illicit timber siezed in Ganderbal, 2 held

Ganderbal, Sep 13: Police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday arrested two smugglers and recovered illicit timber from their possession.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that acting on specific input a team of police arrested two timber smugglers at Goriwan area of Lar.
The officer identified duo as Zahoor Ahmad Khan son of Bashir Ahmad Khan of Lar and Muzaffar Ahmad Khan son of Shereen Khan of Gutlibagh Wayil.
The officer said 29 logs of illicit timber were siezed from their possession.
A case FIR number 70/2020 in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated officer added.
