No ideology can justify innocent killings: Javid Baig

SRINAGAR, October 20: Apni Party on Tuesday strongly condemned the killing of Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, inspector of police who was shot dead by suspected militants on way to his home in district Anantnag.

In a statement issued here, Javid Baig, spokesman of the Apni Party said that such barbaric and inhuman acts of violence are not going to achieve anything except for death and destruction in this region.

“Killing a police inspector who was returning home after offering evening prayers in a nearby mosque at Sundpora-Kanelwan village of Bijbehara tehsil is gruesome and puts a question mark on the ideology behind such mindless actions,” Baig remarked.

“Bet it in J&K or anywhere in the world, there is no legal, moral, or religious justification for killing innocents. People should come forward and raise their voice against these senseless actions if we really want to save our future generations,” Baig added.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, the Apni Party spokesman prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage and forbearance for the family, relatives, friends and colleagues of the deceased to bear this irreparable loss.
