“Pedal for Fitness” organised in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: District Police Ganderbal in collaboration with MTB KASHMIR organised Cycle Race “Pedal for Fitness” today in Ganderbal, in which around 50 cyclists from Ganderbal valley participated.

SSP Khalil Poswal flagged off the Cycle Race from Sumbal Bridge at 7:30 am which culminated in Manigam at 8:10 am. People and students from Barosa, Lar, Manigam welcomed the cyclists with placards in their hands depicting various social reform messages.

Bazil Ahmad, Hashim, Mohmad Amin secured 1st,2nd, 3rd positions respectively .
The 1st. three winners were awarded with cash prizes and certificates

SSP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal Chief Guest on the occasion distributed prizes among participants at Manigam.

SSP Ganderbal on the occasion congratulated all the participants and said that JK Police is very keen to encourage various sports activities, adding that all the basic facilities would be provided for promotion of sports activities. ‘This event carries a message of unity and peace’, he added.

He appealed to all the youth to participate in different types of sports activities and keep away from the menace of drugs.
