Srinagar, Dec 27: Having a feel of new modern western acoustic touch in his composition and vocals, Mir Mehmood, a young musician from Srinagar is attracting many locals & outside listeners towards his genre.
Mehmood wants to promote Kashmiri poetry by singing it in accordance with the tastes of younger Kashmiri generation and by composing it in a modern way.
Mehmood wants to make his tracks to connect with the audiance outside Kashmir and rest of the world.
He also writes Kashmiri lyrics. His first acheivement in writing Kashmiri song called “REHBER” is available on all Audio Streaming Apps such as Spotify, Itunes & many more.
Inspired by western & eastern music both, Mir Mehmood is capable of representing Kashmiri lyrics in a modern way for new generation.
Singer, writer and Composer, Mehmood has composed famous poetry of “NEAM SEEB” in his New Age Genre which is available on social media such as Youtube, Spotify, Itunes, Facebook and many more by his stage name Rock Jimmo. Young Musician has started his music career by participating in singing competitions on University level.
A Student of Kashmir University, he has won many singing competitions & represented Kashmir in many States like Chandigarh, Dehli, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab.
The young musician has also done stage performances in different Indian Universities Such as Punjab University, MMU University, Chandigarh University, CSJM University Kanpur.
Being a full time musician, Mehmood is making relentless effort in contributing his talent towards his culture & Kashmiri language.
