Sopore, Dec 31 : Continuing its efforts to reach out to the poor and needy people, police in Sopore distributed COVID-19 safety kits among them under civic action programme.
SSP Sopore Javeed Iqbal alongwith SDPO Raja Majid, SHO Azim Iqbal and other senior officers held the distribution function at Dak Bunglow Sopore.
Meanwhile police in a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch said Covid -19 kits comprising of Oximeter, Digital Thermometer, Masks, Sanitizer, Gloves, Face shields, Inhaler etc were distributed by the Sopore Police under the Aegis of Civic action programme amongst the BPL families in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sopore and Police Station Tarzoo.
The statement said besides a demonstration on use of Covid-19 protection articles and general awareness about prevention of Covid-19 pandemic was given by SSP Sopore Javaid Iqbal.
Speaking on the occasion SSP Sopore requested the general public to adopt all precautionary measures to save families from Covid-19 pandemic the statement further reads.
