Srinagar, Jan 11 : Awami National Conference senior vice president Muzaffar Shah Monday slammed Lieutenant Governor J&K and Chief Secretary BVR Subhramanyam for claiming tall over recent snow spell.

Addressing a presser in Srinagar, Shah said the LG Manoj Sinha and CS BVR Subhramanyam is using only dictates regarding recent snowfall. “If this is natural calamity then they should be here in Kashmir to deal with the calamatic situation. Why they are stationed in Jammu? People of Kashmir desperately need them here”, he said.

Notably Lieutenant Governor Sinha on January 10 declared recent massive snowfall as “State Specific Natural Calamity” under SDRF and had said that 4×4 rescue vehicles and ambulances to be provided to snow affected districts with immediate effect.

“If we have a popular Government here (like in previous Governments they should have spend all the time on roads, like that they (LG admin) would have been here for people but this is fact that LG & his advisors are sitting in jammu and passed bucks only”, ANC leader said.

On Amshipora staged encounter, Shah said this all has been done because Army got handsome money to kill Kashmiri’s. He said AFSPA like laws should go now as these have been badly misused in Kashmir.

Shah appealed Government to handover HMT slain youths bodies to their family so that they ensure their last rights at their ancestors graveyard according to required rituals.
