Uttarakhand glacier burst: 100 to 150 casualties feared

A massive flood has been reported from Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, where the water level in the Dhauliganga river suddenly rose, following an avalanche near Rishiganga Power Project at Raini village, reported The Mint.

The Chamoli district magistrate has instructed officials to evacuate people living in villages on the bank of the Dhauliganga river, news agency ANI reported.
