Srinagar, March 01 : People’s Democratic Party President and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday said that in Naya Kashmir, civil servants dictate terms in political matters now.
As per Kashmir Despatch, Mehbooba in a tweet said that When PDP sought permission for a workers convention in Pulwama, these were the conditions laid down by district administration. In Naya Kashmir, civil servants dictate terms in political matters & are clearly prejudiced. Many workers weren’t allowed to enter the venue either.
Pertinently, Mehbooba on Sunday said that the dialogue is the only way to stop bloodshed in Kashmir. She named the youth of Kashmir as main stakeholders for the dialogue with centre.
“The youngsters of Kashmir are picking up arms; getting killed in encounters. The only way to stop that is by reaching the youth for dialogue,” Mehbooba added further.
The PDP president took the opportunity to give a message to the youth, and said that the gun and stones are hardly a solution, and a dialogue must be the only means.
