Sopore, April 03 : Senior Superintendent of Police Sopore Sudhanshu Verma Saturday held an interactive session with the media fraternity of Sopore (SMA) and highlighted the role of media in a developing community.
While highlighting the role of the media as 4th pillar of democracy, SSP Sopore pinned hopes on the media fraternity in bringing out positivity to the masses and help police to eradicate social evils, eradicating drug addiction and stressed on mutual cooperation for the betterment of the society.
During the meeting various issues having direct bearing on the society were discussed. The media fraternity extended wholehearted cooperation with Sopore police.
“A mutual coordination between media and police with regard to reformation of society by eradicating social evils from the society is needed,” SSP Sopore added.
On the conclusion, SSP assured the Sopore media fraternity (SMA)of all kinds of support be it professional or personal.
