Baramulla, April 21 : Amid the rise in COVID-19 positive cases in north Kashmir, medical superintendent of district hospital Baramulla Dr Syed Masood appleaded masjid committees to arrange oxygen facilities in their mohallas to help health system from overloading.
Dr Syed Masood wrote on his facebook page that “All Masjid / Mohalla committees should arrange oxygen facilities in their respective mohallas instead of other community requirements this time . A disastrous wave is on its way . This little time should be used to build these small domicillary facilities which will help the system from overloading . Allah Nigahbaan.”
Pertinently, Amid surge in COVID-related cases, District Magistrate Baramulla last week notified eight localities as micro-containment zones.
The localities, as per an order a copy of which lies with Kashmir Despatch, include; Khawaja Bagh Lower (petrol pump to Jetty road), Chak Kanispora, Sangri Colony, Kanli Bagh, Dewan Bagh and Delina (Qazi Mohalla, Rawatpora, Delina Ghat and Milat Colony), Sherwani and Lone Mohalla , Ferozpora Tangmarg.
