Kishtwar April 22, 2021.In its programme to redress the grievances/crime against women, Distt Police Kishtwar have established five women help desk in different Police Stations of Distt. Kishtwar. SSP Kishtwar Shri Shafqat Hussain Batt-JKPS also interacted with officer/officials posted at Women Help Desk.
The Women Help Desk has start functioning at
1. PS KiShtwar2. PS Chatroo 3. PS Atholi4. PS.Marwah5. PS Warwan
The help desk is aimed to respond to all such calls made by the women who are victims of domestic violence, eve teasing, harassment including sexual abuse, cyber related crime etc. Due to the growing incidents of crimes against women, the redressal mechanism through Women Help Desk has been made functional.As the idea is to provide a prompt and reliable response mechanism to all the reports and information of crime against women, a 24×7 help desk service has been kept at the disposal of Women Help Desk.
SSP Kishtwar Shri Shafaqt Hussain Batt-JKPS while speaking on the occasion said that Police is committed to ensure peace in the society and to end the menace of Crime against Women from the district with a view to provide a sense of security among the women folks
