Maqsood Rather elected vice-president
Bandipora, Apr 28 : Khursheed Ahmad Ganie, an Apni party councilor was on Wednesday elected as new president municipal council Bandipora after he defeated his opponent by a margin of four votes during re-election to the post of president.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Khursheed defeated his opponent Basharat Hussain Najar by a margin of four votes.
An official said that out of 17 councilors, 10 voted in Favour of Khursheed Ahmad while his opponent polled only six votes.
He said that Maqsood Ahmad Rather, an elected councilor from Ward No. 12 was elected unopposed as vice-president of the municipal council Bandipora—(KNO)
