SRINAGAR : Director Horticulture, Kashmir Ajaz Ahmad Bhat Monday directed officers to ensure and facilitate opening of pesticides fertilizer shops in their respective jurisdictions as per government instructions for timely availability of horticulture inputs to the farming community.
Bhat convened a virtual meeting with all the Chief Horticulture Officers of Kashmir Division regarding smooth functioning of Horticulture activities in the valley particularly during the present restrictions.
Instructions were also given to the Chief Horticulture officers to reach out to the Farming Community besides following the SOPs.
During the course of meeting the officers were instructed to issue the advisories for the farming community from time to time and as and when needed.
Moreover, the director, Horticulture advised the farmers/ orchardists to contact their respective Chief Horticulture officers for any assistance.
Furthermore, for the convenience of farming community a helpline number has also been established in the directorate i.e. 0194-2311484.
