Ganderbal, May 09 : Tightening the noose around violators of government guidelines in view of Covid-19 pandemic, the police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have booked five persons on Sunday.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that In wake of the spike in the COVID-19 cases demanding strict implementation of COVID-19 SOPs, Ganderbal Police on the complaint of Executive Magistrate, Tehsildar Lar that a group of people have gathered in a specific location and they were not following SOPs also refused to disburse and even attacked him, took cognizance of the incident and stringent action was taken by SHO PS Safapora against the violators.
A case FIR no 20/21 under relevent sections of law was registered in PS Safapora and 5 persons were booked who identified as Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, Sona-Ullah Bhat, Abdul Rashid Bhat, Nisar Ahmad Bhat sons of Ali Mohd Bhat residents of Yangoora and Mohd Shafi Bhat son of Ghulam Mohd Bhat of Goripora.
Meanwhile, district Police Ganderbal once again humbly requests general public to cooperate with Police while imposing restrictions to contain the further spread of Corona virus.
