Saudi king affirms continuous efforts to support Palestine

RIYADH: Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saudi affirmed on Friday his country’s continuous efforts to support Palestine, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The king made the remarks during a phone call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, during which Abbas expressed the appreciation for the support of the Saudi government through international, Islamic, and Arab organizations.

Meanwhile, the Saudi foreign ministry welcomed in a statement on Friday the declaration of a ceasefire in the Gaza strip, expressing its appreciation for the efforts of Egypt and international organizations in this regard.—(Xinhua)
