Srinagar, July 07: Continuing its efforts to further strengthen the already existing strong bond between Indian Army & local populace, the 13 RR Unit of Army under the aegis of 3 SECT Manasbal Wednesday organised villages games in Saderkoot Bala Village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An army spokesperson said that the event had plethora of games including lemon spoon race, jalebi race, sack race, tug of war, musical chair, brick race, last kid standing and many more exciting games.
He said that the event witnessed a footfall of 300 plus people including locals and children with appealing participation from all the nearby villages.
The event was attended by the public representatives including sarpanchs panchsas.
He said that the event was organised to promote harmony, peace and a healthy lifestyle among the youths of area.
“Winners & participants of all games were awarded & felicitated with exciting prizes during the closing ceremony which further gave a boost to their morale. A Lunch was organised for all the kids after the games,” he said.
“The response from all locals was overwhelming & they were very appreciative of the efforts by Indian Army to make the event a grand success & also requested for more such events in the future,” he added.
