Baramulla, July 13: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Bhupinder Kumar today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Program Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and SEHAT health insurance scheme. The meeting also reviewed the status and progress of the registration of beneficiaries under these schemes.
Meeting was attended by CMO Baramulla, BMOs, COVID-19 Nodal Officer, district and sectoral officers among other concerned functionaries.
On the occasion, various aspects were thoroughly discussed wherein the concerned authorities briefed that about 4.45 lakh beneficiaries have so far been registered under the said scheme. It was also informed that Baramulla stands at 2nd position throughout J&K UT in registration with the coverage of 77% of eligible population.
Speaking on the occasion, DC directed the concerned authorities to scale up the registration process so that desired results are achieved. He emphasized to work in coordination and synergy and create mass awareness about the scheme at the ground level. He also directed to conduct Sehat Melas in several medical blocks so that all the eligible beneficiaries are registered well within the fixed timeline.
The DC also stressed upon the health department to work with added zeal and mobilize the available human resource for effective implementation of the schemes. He also appealed all the beneficiaries to come forward and get registered in the nearest Hospital/CSC centres.
