Srinagar,Sep 23 : Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar on Thursday said that there is a new trend of Hybrid and part time militants now in Kashmir who are carrying target killings during evening hours.
Addressing a press conference at army headquarters in Srinagar IGP as per Kashmir Despatch correspondent said that this year so far 97 pistols have been recovered from militants, which signifies “hybrid militants are being promoted” to target unarmed policemen, civilians and political leaders.
He said, there is a change in strategy from across the LoC as neighbouring country is now frustrated by the prevailing peaceful atmosphere, rising number of tourist arrivals, union ministers, and the peaceful situation post death of Syed Ali Geelani.
