Residential house damaged in Kupwara fire mishap

Kupwara, Oct 11 : In an unfortunate fire mishap one residential house on Monday was damaged in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said fire broke out in the residential house of Retd Gh Mohiuddin Bhat son of Late Habibullah Bhat this afternoon, however timely action of locals, police and fire tenders managed to douse the flames.

According to officials no casualty was reported in the mishap however properties worth lakhs were reduced to ashes.

A police officer told Kashmir Despatch the cause of fire was not known immediately. He said a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has set into motion.
