PM Modi saddened over tragic accident in J&K’s Doda

Srinagar, Oct 28 : The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that he was saddened by the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Doda district and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families.

Office of the Prime Minister of India on its official Twitter handle said that ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the tragic accident.

“Saddened by the road accident near Thatri, Doda in Jammu and Kashmir. In this hour of grief, I convey my condolences to the bereaved families. I pray that the people who have been injured recover at the earliest,” PMO India Tweeted.j

PM Office also said that the injured would be given Rs 50, 000 under PMNRF.

“An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the accident in Jammu and Kashmir. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000,” PM office Tweeted.

Earlier, eight persons were feared dead while several others injured in a tragic accident that took place in Doda after a mini-bus rolled down into a deep gorge along river Chenab on Thathri-Doda road near Sui Gwari.
