Abdullahs condemn killing of Salesman at Bohri Kadal

Date:

Srinagar, Nov 09 : National Conference (NC) President, MP Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah on Tuesday strongly condemned the brutal killing of Mohd Ibrahim Khan, who was working as a salesman in a local shop in Bohrikadal area of downtown Srinagar.

Denouncing the killing as dastardly and barbaric, Dr Farooq, as per a statement issued said, “Violence in any form is unacceptable and intolerable in any emancipated society. It only leads a trail of devastation behind. I convey my heartfelt condolences to family of slain salesman. The recurrence of such bloodshed raises a question mark on the prevailing security scenario in Kashmir.”

Condemning the incident, Omar Abdullah unreservedly said, “The spurt in the incidents of targeted killings also raises a big question mark on the security scenario in Kashmir, particularly in Srinagar city. The perpetrators, who have committed this heinous act, have no religion. No religion condones violence. Nothing justifies such bloodshed.”

Describing the killings as cold blooded murder which cannot be compensated by anything, he said, “I express heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray to Almighty to give the bereaved family the strength to bear the loss in this hour of grief.”

Meanwhile, party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar has also condemned the killing of the salesman in the strongest terms.
