Delhi, Nov 11 : The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Thursday met Congress President Sonia Gandhi in union capital and briefed her about various issues confronting people.
In a meeting, which lasted for one hour Ghulam Ahmad briefed Madam Gandhi about the current situation in J&K, besides organizational affairs and activities.
Mir also briefed CP about upcomming Jan Jagran Abhiyan to be launched from 14th this month covering all districts.
Many other issues especially unemployment and developmental issues also came under discussion.
Congress President received feedback on organizational affairs and activities and stressed the need to maintain discipline at all levels in the party.
Both Sonia Gandhi and JKPCC President also held discussions on the membership drive set to be launched in JK, shorty.
On this occassion Congress President expressed serious concerns over the deteriorating security situation and bloodshed in Kashmir.
