Student Leader Nasir Khuehami here on Monday thanked Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad for installing jio tower in far flung area of Tulail Gurez, giving much needed relief to the residents of the area close to the Line of Control that remains cut off for months every winter.
Khuehami in a statement said that Gurez valley remains cut off from Kashmir valley and rest of the world for winter months every year when the Bandipora-Gurez road remains closed for vehicular movement. He expressed gratitude to LG Manoj Sinha for establishment of mobile connectivity in far off places like satni, PTL, Sheikhpora, Dangithal and Zedgay. For the first time people living in remote villages will get connected, he said.
He added that this will remarkably help student community who have suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic and are dependent on online classes. He expressed his gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor for according priority to the remotest and most backward areas of gurez to be digitised in a very short span of time.
