Jammu, Nov 30 : In continuation of his public outreach programme, former J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is arriving on a four-day extensive tour of twin border districts Rajouri and Poonch over Pir-Panchal districts region of Jammu division on Wednesday.
Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Azad would tour remote areas of Poonch and also address a mammoth public rally in Poonch on December 1, followed by rally in Surankot on December 2 and rally in Rajouri on December 3.
On December 4, Azad will address public rally in Ramban. Sources said beside addressing rallies Azad would visit remote areas of these districts, they said.
Earlier, Azad visited erstwhile Doda districts, Samba and Kathua belt of Jammu and South Kashmir in last 15 days in search of lost ground.
Earlier, at least 20 Congress leaders in Jammu and Kashmir, considered close to former Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, have resigned from their party positions to press for a change in party leadership in the Union Territory. This comes amid speculation about Assembly elections in J&K—(KNO)
