SHOPIAN: Authorities in Shopian launched a major anti-encroachment drive to retrieve the land from illegal possession of the occupants.
An official told that the drive was launched in tehsil Shopian during which state land earlier vested under Roshni act was retrieved from illegal possession.
“A total land measuring 48 Kanals and 1 marlas including 17 Kanals 11 Marlas at Chowdri Gund Niabat Kapran and 30 Kanals and 10 marlas at Mengipora Niabat Kanjiullar was retrieved during the drive”, the official said.
“The team was jointly headed by Naib Tehsildar Kapran and Kanjiullar under the overall supervision of Tehsildar Shopian Fida Muhammad”. the official further said.
