Baramulla: In view of the prevailing weather forecast, a duty roaster for the snow clearance control room at the Divisional office level is established to entertain complaints from the general public in north Kashmir’s Sopore town.
In this regard, an order is issued by the Executive Engineer R&B Division Sopore which states that a Divisional office-level control room is established to co-ordinate the snow clearance operation between MED/ Sub-Divisional offices of R8B.
The order reads as, “The control room shall start functioning immediately on the first fall. The officers/officials shall be responsible for functioning of the control room during the winter season 2021-22.”
Further, Hafizullah Baba Technical officer will be the Nodal officer till further orders. The roads which are not covered in the Action plan, the Junior Engineer under whose jurisdiction falls shall be responsible for clearance of the road.
The officers and officials put on duty shall be available for the general public throughout the week.

As per the order, the team shall have the flying squad, sanitary supervisors, sanitation wing at their disposal for any emergent situation.
