Urges LG Sinha to work for development of Sopore

SOPORE: Stating that comparing poor developmental profile of Sopore speaks volumes for being victim of political and administrative apathy, PDP youth leader and Councillor Sopore Municipal Council Irfan Ali has urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to work for development of Sopore.


For decades Sopore has been compared with Baramulla as a town which is not just total wrong but reveals a historic legacy of discrimination and political apathy.


“Are people of Sopore second class citizens who have been penalized for their due rights and entitlements. DC Office, District Hospital, GMC, District offices and developmental works are for Baramulla. Baramulla is always sweeping lion’s share and Sopore town left to the mercy of Heavens. Sopore has to speak and stand for what it deserves”, he added.
We must come together and speak for the development for Sopore, he added.
