Ganderbal : Police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two drugs peddlers in the district.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch police said, A snap naka was established at Satkreeri Badampora, under the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora. Police Party led by DO Shadipora ASI Ashiq Hussain under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Shri Abdul Majid-JKPS, intercepted a Wagnor Bearing Regd No.
JK16-5580 in which 02 persons on board were carrying contraband substance in two separate polythene bags.
On preliminary questioning, the duo disclosed their identity as Showkat Ah Ganie S/O Sonaullah Ganie R/O Baroosa and Imran Shah S/O Ijaz Shah R/O UP Bijnor A/P Panzinara Srinagar. Further during the search, Contraband substance Sposmo Proxivan Plus 200 Capsules and 24 Bottles of Codeine Phosphate was recovered from their possession and was seized on the spot. Both the accused were also arrested.
In this regard FIR No. 10/2022 U/s 8/21,29 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been taken up.
