In light of the national public sentiment and debate created by the release of The Kashmir Files and bringing national and international spotlight on the plight of Kashmiri Pandits with respect to their en-mass single dark night exodus on January 19-20, 1990 from the valley of Kashmir, their home for more than a millennia and the debate of their genocide; AIKS (All India Kashmiri Samaj) the apex organization of the exiled community held a Community thought leaders and social activists meet on 27th March in Delhi to discuss threadbare issues and evolve a collective community response to the situation.
The AIKS after the meet unanimously demands for the Reversal of Genocide and severe punishments as an initial step towards meaningful CBMs and way forward for the Restitution, Return and Rehabilitation of the exiled community back to Valley. They demanded a punitive action against the culprits and perpetrators of the crimes against humanity.
The meeting which was presided over by president Dr. Ramesh Raina was attended by a large number of community leaders, thinkers and members from all walks of life from all over India and Delhi NCR.
Pursuant to AIKS Vision document of January 2022 and its stamp of approval by the community throughout ,the meet has urged the apex organization to take the vision paper to its logical conclusion that even is endorsed by a film documenting the atrocities and genocide inflicted upon the beleaguered Kashmiri Pandit Community in 1990 forcing us to leave in one dark night.
The reversal of exile becomes imperative after all 32 years is too long to live as refugees in one’s own Country.
AIKS in a well-attended displaced Kashmiri Pandit Community Meet demands a commission of inquiry to investigate in all the gamut of genocide of Kashmiri’s inflicted by terrorists in the valley and elsewhere.
It demands the Modi2:0 to invite the AIKS office bearers and the active eminent thought leaders of the community to discuss the ways and means for return, and a module for restitution,safe/dignified rehabilitation in three smart cities at Srinagar,Anantnag and Baramulla in a composite habitats.The meet demands the political representation by way nomination of 4 assembly seats to Exiled KPs back in the Valley.
The meet demands all the religious shrines and endorsements to be protected by Law by way of an ordinance to be issued by LG urgently and put in an apex committee headed b Chief Secretary with law experts and AIKS representatives to Manan age the affairs of all the shires in the Valley.
Tha meet demands enhancement of cash relief to ₹25000/- per family to relief getting displaced families and all the facilities for decent livings in Jagti and other habitats housing the pandits in Jammu and in the Valley.till rehabilitation in the Valleys smart cities.
