Two non-locals in Pulwama, two CRPF troopers in Maisuma-Srinagar and a civilian in Shopian were shot at yesterday in which one of the CRPF troopers scummbed to his injuries. Once again Kashmir has bled red where innocent lives have been devastated for the reasons unknown to them.
The death and gloom appears to be hovering in this place that has been yearning for peace for more than three decades. Currently, there exists a huge bloom in tourism sector as large number of visitors are pouring into Kashmir division but until the peace becomes a reality on ground all the development & timely economic prosperity is a facade.
The people in general have been worst hit by these inhumane attacks that not only kills the innocent targets but also cripples the social and economic growth that has witnessed a slowdown since 90’s.
A common man is tired of this violence now and has always beseeched for a simple life where there is no place for bloodshed and hatred. A place where his children can study and play in peace and he can earn & provide for their needs.
Kashmir in pristine times was world famous for its breathtaking natural scenery and the intricate beautiful crafts that reflected the skill and wit of it people but alas no more. All we hear in the media is about violent attacks and loss of live which for the good of all needs to stop.
Violence has never been beneficial or fruitful. Historical accounts bear witness to it and must be taken into consideration in order to shun these destructive ways so that the dawn of peace becomes a reality in the land of Sufi’s & Reshi’s once again. There is still hope as peace has always remained achievable.
