Kupwara : In a tragic incident, a 20-year-old MBBS student drowned in a pond in north Kashmir’s Kupwara village on Sunday.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said Eid celebrations of Kupwara family ended in tragedy after their son’s body retrieved from a pond in Vilgam village by police and locals.
The deceased has been identified as Shahid Amin Beigh son of Mohammad Amin Beigh.
Local news agency GNS reported that three boys went untraceable inside a pond in Punzwa village on Sunday afternoon while they were bathing, however two among the three boys came out safely.
