3 students go missing in Kupwara, families urge them to return home

Srinagar, July 19 : Three students from north Kashmir’s Kupwara district have gone missing and their families have appealed them to return home.

Families of the three students namely Irfan Mushtaq Wani (studying in 8th class, 13-years-old) son of Mushtaq Ahmad Wani of Kawari Kupwara, Nasir Fayaz Dar (12th class, 18-years-old) son of Fayaz Ahmad Dar of Woskura Handwara, and Bilal Ahmad Dar Wani (11th standard student, 17-year-old) son of Mohammad Amin of Kawari Kupwara said that the trio left their respectively homes for school on July 18 and did not return back since then.

“Today we lodged a missing report at Hatmulla police station,” Mushtaq Ahmad, father of Irfan Mushtaq, told GNS over phone. “We appeal Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and SSP Kupwara to intervene and see that they return home without any harm.” He said Irfan’s mother has been crying weeping as she and other family members are worried about the son.

A police officer confirmed to GNS that the missing report has been filed with the concerned police station. (GNS)
