Bandipora August 13: Full dress rehearsal for 76th Independence Day was held today across Bandipora District.
The function for Independence Day rehearsal commenced with the hoisting of national flag and followed by Flag March and March Past.
The main function was held at S.K Stadium Bandipora where at Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora Afsar Ali Khan hoisted the national flag, inspected the parade, and took the salute at the march past comprising contingents of CRPF 3rd battalion, J&K Executive Police, J&K- IRP, J&K Fire and Emergency, SPOs, Home Gaurd, NCC, Hr Secondary Hajin, Army Good will School Bandipora, High School Bagh, Hr. secondary Quil Muqam, High school Qazipora, Hr. secondary Aloosa, Hr. sec Mantrigam, space Age model school, High school Laharwalpora, IDPS, Hr. Secondary School Arin and joint contingent of boys and girls from JNV followed by police Band Group.
On the occasion colourfull cultural programme, depicting patriotism, culture and message of national anthem was also presented by Various Schools.
Speaking on the occasion Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora Afsar Ali Khan appreciated and congratulated all the participants and organisers of Tiranga Rallies across the district.
He also appreciated the efforts of all concerned who played their role in successfull and peaceful completion of Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
SSP Bandipora Mohd Zahid, ADC Bandipora Waseem Raja, ASP Bandipora Ashiq Hussain Tak, ACR Bandipora Parvaiz Rahim, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad and heads of various departments, district officers along with senior officers were present to witness the full dress rehearsal.
Chairman MC Bandipora was also present during full Dress Rehearsal function at S.K stadium besides general public.
Full dress rehearsal function was also held at Mini secretariat Bandipora where at Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Waseem Raja hoisted the flag.
All the blocks of district also witnessed full dress rehearsal function besides functions at Sub Division Sumbal and Gurez.
At Sumbal Tehsildar Sumbal Zeeshan Tahir hoisted the flag and at Gurez Tehsildar Gurez Rouf Iqbal Hoisted the National flag.
