BUDGAM, Oct 11: The two- day capacity building Porgramme under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan concluded today at Sheikh ul Alam Hall Budgam.
The programme was attended by Asha and Anganwadi workers, school teachers and members from NGOs. The participants were trained about the ways of identifying the persons who have fallen into the trap of drug addiction.
The focus was laid upon creating community oriented frontline workers who shall identify and facilitate the treatment for victims of drug abuse. The attendants were made aware of the treatment facilities available at District Budgam.
Dr Nasha Medical Officer, Syed Sabreena counselor from Addiction treatment centre Budgam and other master trainers sensitized the audience about issues and available possible solutions for drug addiction.
Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Chadoora Mohammad Shahid while concluding the program spoke about the need of grassroots surveillance and social custodians to keep a check on menace of drug abuse.
