Provides Rs.1 lakh relief to affected family, directs to process relief case under SDRF, other schemes
KUPWARA, NOVEMBER 20 : Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray along with SSP Kupwara, Yougal Manhas and a team of officers today visited Diver in Lolab sub division and met the fire victim family whose residential house was gutted in a massive fire incident on the intervening night of 19th and 20th of this month. The 2 minor siblings of the family lost their lives in the fire incident.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner expressed grief over the loss of lives of 2 minors and expressed sympathy with the affected family.
The Deputy Commissioner provided immediate cash relief of Rs.1 lakh under District Red Cross Fund to the family. Besides, provided one tent, blankets, kitchen set and ration items.
The Deputy Commissioner assured for additional assistance under SDRF norms and directed the DFO concerned to provide timber for the victim family.
SDM Lolab, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat; DSP Kupwara, Tehsildar, SHO and other concerned accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit.
