Pay pending electricity bills or face Electricity cuts: DC Bandipora

BANDIPORA, Jan 19: The authorities warned of strict action against defaulters for not paying pending electricity dues in Naidkhai area of Sumbal North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Speaking to the sidelines of a function at Naidkhai New Type Primary Health Center (NTPHC) Naidkhai, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora while interacting with locals said that in the whole district Naidkhai is the only village where electricity bills are pending.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmad on Thursday inaugurated the Computerised Radiography system Digital X-Ray Machine, Hot Line here at the NTPHC Naidkhai.
He was accompanied by DDC Chairman Bandipora Abdul Gani Bhat, Block Medical Officer Hajin Dr. Muzaffar Ahmad besides other officials.
Speaking with the reporters Dr. Owais said that the inauguration of the Digital X-Ray machine at NTPC will benefit forty thousand people of different villages of Naidkhai Bandipora.
He also appealed peoples to pay their pending bills of electricity as the interest of long pending bills had been canceled by the government.
He advised all the defaulters to pay your pending electricity bills immediately, otherwise their connections will be removed in future. “The general public is requested for their cooperation and support to curb this means of encroachment,” added Dr. Owais Ahmad.
