SHD B’pora organises Awareness camp for Sheep farmers at Gamroo

BANDIPORA, JANUARY 28: Sheep Husbandry Department, Bandipora on Saturday organised an awareness camp for Sheep farmers at Sheep development block office, Gamroo Bandipora.

The event witnessed participation of progressive Sheep farmers, youth and aspiring entrepreneurs.

On the occasion, Dr. Parwaiz Ahmad, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Gamroo threw detailed light on the various ongoing activities of the Department including artificial insemination in goats, livestock registration on INAPH portal and subsidized livestock insurance under National Livestock Mission (NLM).

The farmers were made aware about feeding management during winter period and were apprised about the profitable scientific management of livestock.

He also informed the farmers regarding the recently launched Holistic Agricultural Development Programme of the Government of UT of J&K for upgrading the agriculture and allied sectors.

The grievances/ demands put forth by the participating farmers were redressed on spot. The event concluded with the distribution of insurance certificates among the beneficiaries.
