KUPWARA, JANUARY 30: All major roads including Kupwara-Sopore road, Handwara-Baramulla, Kupwara-Sogam, Kupwara-Kralpora-Chowkibal and other roads are open for traffic in Kupwara district.
According to Executive Engineer Mechanical, all priority 1 roads have been cleared twice during the day.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray today inspected various Government offices, health institutions and other establishments to personally monitor the Snow clearance operation and other facilities.
During the visit, the DC inspected the Snow clearance operation at Bohipora-Gushi-Vilgam road. He also had a surprise check of NTPHC Gushi and Nayabat Office Gushi, AYUSH Health & Wellness Centre Gushi.
During the inspection, the DC checked the attendance of staff.
He also interacted with the public during the visit and heard them patiently, and redressed their grievances.
The DC directed officers and field functionaries to play a proactive role in facilitating the public during the ongoing Snow season.
He said despite heavy Snowfall in the areas of Kupwara district, Snow clearance operation remained uninterrupted during the day and all major roads were opened open for traffic.
Meanwhile, Snow clearance operation is also on in Karnah sub division.
